What is the York
Rite? "When a man is initiated, passed and raised to the
Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, he receives the foundation of Freemasonry.
This is the basis on which he can build his Masonic education and his
spiritual temple. This portion of his Masonic education can be equated to
Elementary School. The York Rite is one path that gives a broader knowledge
of the Symbolic or Blue Lodge degrees. These degrees can be equated to High
School. Without these degrees and orders our Masonic education cannot be
considered complete." - M.E.C. Lorenzo P. Pious, PMEGHP, MEPHGC HRAM of
